The locals are happy over this public-spirited APML candidate
Bahawalpur (Pakistan Point News – 1st July, 2018) As the general elections are approaching near, the political parties have geared up for their election campaign while the voters are questioning the leaders over their performance during the last tenure.
As the politicians are stepping into their Constituencies asking for votes, they have to face several difficulties. Sometimes they have to walk through the mud and accumulated water asking people for votes.
However, in a surprising move, a woman election candidate from NA-170, Bahawalpur has amazed everyone as she kicked off her election campaign on a rickshaw.
All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader Shazia Noreen used a rickshaw to run her election campaign in Bahawalpur. The locals appreciated Noreen for this act.
When asked about doing a campaign on rickshaw, she said that neither she wants to impress anyone by coming in luxury cars nor can she afford such cars and protocol.
The locals are happy over this public-spirited woman candidate from NA-170. They said that they are happy that a public candidate came to the constituency on a rickshaw rather a landcruiser.
The old rickshaw driver, who has been taking Noreen to various areas of the constituency, said that he is there as long as she runs the election campaign. He said that the victory or defeat will be decided on July 25; however, considering this woman’s support in the constituency, it seems she has won over the hearts of people.
The people called out on politicians to end protocol culture and adopt a public-centred style so people can contact them easily and tell them about their problems.
