Barrister Gohar says PTI rejected election results and considered polls to be “rigged and manipulated”
ISLAMABAD:(UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 8th, 2026) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday alleged widespread irregularities in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, claiming the party had been subjected to pre-poll rigging and deliberately kept out of the electoral process.
Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar said PTI rejected the election results and considered the polls to be “rigged and manipulated.” He alleged that a specific plan had been implemented to exclude the party from the electoral process.
The PTI chairman claimed that his party was on course to secure victory in eight Constituencies and should have received Form-47 results for those seats. He said PTI currently possessed Form-47 documents from three constituencies.
Barrister Gohar also announced that PTI would observe a “Black Day” in Gilgit-Baltistan on the day newly elected members take oath, in protest against what the party describes as electoral irregularities.
