The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the helicopter suffered a technical malfunction during takeoff, which caused the accident. Rescue and recovery teams were immediately dispatched to the site. A Board of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the exact technical causes of the crash.
The Chief of Defence Forces expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs.
