JI Chief Sirajul Haq for forging unity on right of self determination to Kashmiris

Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has appealed to the government, PML(N) leader Nawaz Sharif, and opposition leaders including Kashmir Committee chairman Maulana Fazlur Rahman, to stand united for the Kashmir cause and evolve a permanent policy for the liberation of Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 05th Feb, 2018) : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has appealed to the government, PML(N) leader Nawaz Sharif, and opposition leaders including Kashmir Committee chairman Maulana Fazlur Rahman, to stand united for the Kashmir cause and evolve a permanent policy for the liberation of Kashmir. Addressing a huge rally staged in the Federal capital on the Kashmir Solidarity Day, he announced that “either Kashmir would be liberated or we would embrace martyrdom for this cause.

” Big rallies in support of the Kashmiris were also taken out in all big cities including the provincial capitals and Azad Kashmir, The participants of the rallies reaffirmed their resolve not to abandon the Kashmiris fighting for their rig ht of self determination for decades. In Lahore, the layaways staged from Nasir Bagh to the Assembly chambers and was led by the JI Secretary General Liaqat Bloch, JI Information Secretary Amiru Azeem was also present.

The JI chief called upon the government to appoint a State Minister for Foreign Minister on Kashmir and send the delegations of the Kashmiris from both sides of the LoC all over the world and arrange their meetings with the human rights bodies and other world bodies to highlight the brutalities being committed by the Indian occupation forces in Held Kashmir,. Thousands of women folk besides men and children joined the rally which was also addressed by prominent Kashmiri leaders.

The participants carried placards inscribed with the slogans” Modi Ka Jo Yar Hay, Ghaddar hay, Ghaddar hay, “ Kashmir bane Ga Pakistan, and Al-Jehad, Al-Jehad. Sirajul Haq said that Kashmir was indispensable for Pakistan as the rivers flowing from Kashmir were watering the Punjab plans. “If this water is blocked, the Punjab would become barren and as a result, the people of the Punjab would be forced to migrate from their lands”, he warned.

The JI chief said that Nawaz Sharif claimed to be Kashmiri but he had never talked of the Kashmir. He said that the river water flowing into the Punjab also included the Kashmiris blood and even their bodies and garments. If we betrayed the Kashmiris, the hands of the Kashmiris would be on the throats of the rulers. The JI chief said that the Kashmir is not an issue of land or economy, it was a matter of faith and independence.

He said that Indian government had offered jobs to lakhs of Kashmiri youth but they had flatly rejected the offer. Likewise, he said, the residents of Sri Nagar remained hungry for full forty days but when the Indian army dropped rice and biscuits in their homes, they refused to receive these and preferred to remain hungry. Sirajul Haq said that Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Shah, Yasin Malik, Mir Waiz Umer Farooq and Syed Salahud Din and Ghulam Muhammad Safi were the heroes of the Pakistanis and they were looking towards this country and the nation.

He said that when Syed Salahud Din’s son was produced before the Indian High Court from Indian jail, he did not complain of his injuries but talked of the Indian army’s repression. Sirajul Haq said that the rulers of the country were not representing the bold Pakistani people on the Kashmir issue. He said, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had talked of fighting for one thousand years for Kashmir but he did not keep his word. Later, Pervez Musharraf sabotaged the Kashmiris liberation movement and tried for a bargain with India which was however foiled by Syed Ali Gilani. The JI chief called for a special OIC conference on Kashmir in Islamabad.
