Police register case at Shams Colony Police Station on complaint of officer's wife
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Oct 18th, 2025) A senior officer of National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) was abducted by unidentified armed men in the capital.
The development raised the serious concerns about the security of officials in Islamabad.
According to police, Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, Muhammad Usman, was kidnapped on the evening of October 14 between 7 and 8 pm from the basement parking area of Zara Heights. Witnesses and initial investigation suggest that four armed men intercepted his vehicle and forcibly took him away in another car.
Sources said CCTV footage of the incident shows a white Toyota Corolla and captures the moments of the abduction.
Police have registered a case at the Shams Colony Police Station on the complaint of the officer’s wife. However, no arrests have been made so far, and the authorities have yet to report any significant progress in the investigation.
Officials said efforts are underway to trace the suspects and recover the abducted officer, while teams are reviewing CCTV footage and geofencing data to identify the perpetrators.
