Field Marshal Asim Munir said India-backed elements and terrorists are spreading anti-state propaganda, but decisive actions are underway to rid Balochistan of their threat.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,21, 2025) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that India-backed elements, along with Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan, are spreading anti-state and anti-development propaganda, but the state is taking decisive action against all terrorists to rid Balochistan of their menace.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief made these remarks during a meeting with participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan held at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Field Marshal Asim Munir described Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan — a land of talented, patriotic, and determined people — and said that the province’s real strength lies in its people.
He stated that comprehensive measures are being taken to improve the socio-economic landscape of Balochistan through people-centric policies. He emphasized that harnessing the province’s vast economic potential for the welfare of its people is the need of the hour.
The Army Chief appreciated the constructive role of civil society, particularly efforts aimed at empowering the youth. He said that young people can play a key role in Balochistan’s sustainable development, provided they rise above personal or political interests and work for the province’s prosperity.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that the state is conducting full-scale operations against all terrorist elements, including those supported by India, to secure lasting peace in Balochistan.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan seeks peace and stability in the region but will give a strong and decisive response to any direct or indirect violation of its territorial integrity, ensuring the protection of its citizens’ lives and property.
The workshop concluded with an open and interactive question-and-answer session.
