PTI leader and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser meet PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf at Parliament House, where he conveyed PTI’s willingness to cooperate if PPP is serious about boycotting the budget vote
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 16th, 2025) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in a bid to forge a joint strategy to boycott the vote on the Federal budget.
PTI leader and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser met PPP leader Raja Pervez Ashraf at the Parliament House, where he conveyed PTI’s willingness to cooperate if the PPP is serious about boycotting the budget vote.
Qaiser referred to recent statements made by PPP leadership suggesting a possible boycott and urged the party to take a clear stance. He said PTI would support PPP if it decides to abstain from the budget voting.
In response, Raja Pervez Ashraf assured Qaiser that he would discuss the matter with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who is expected to arrive at Parliament later today.
