Gold prices hit record high in global and local markets

Gold surged to an all-time high as international prices jumped by $141 per ounce, pushing local rates to a record Rs456,900 per tola in Pakistan.

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,17, 2025) Gold prices soared to historic levels in both international and local markets on Friday.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose sharply by $141 per ounce, reaching a record high of $4,358 per ounce.

The global surge had a direct impact on Pakistan’s local markets, where the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs14,100 per tola, setting a new record of Rs456,900 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs12,089, reaching a new peak of Rs391,718.
