The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns until October 31. Earlier, the date was extended from September 30 by 15 days following demands from tax bar associations and citizens.
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,15, 2025) The Federal board of Revenue (FBR) has announced another extension in the deadline for filing income tax returns, granting taxpayers an additional 16 days to submit their returns.
According to an official notification, the new deadline for filing income tax returns is October 31, 2025.
Earlier, on September 30, the FBR had extended the filing deadline by 15 days. However, several tax bar associations and citizens had requested a further extension to October 30, citing technical issues and workload concerns.
With this latest extension, taxpayers now have until the end of October to file their returns without penalty.
