Public holidays will be observed from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9, 2025
ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 2nd, 2025) The Federal government has officially announced a four-day public holiday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, allowing citizens across the country an extended break to celebrate the Islamic festival.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the public holidays would be observed from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9, 2025.
The notification was issued by Cabinet Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal, confirming that the government offices and institutions would remain closed during this period.
The announcement follows the declaration by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which confirmed that Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday, June 7.
Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant religious holidays in the Islamic Calendar.
