Mohammad Haris stole the show with an explosive knock, hammering 107 runs off just 46 balls including 7 sixes and 8 fours
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 1st, 2025) Pakistan wrapped up a commanding 3-0 series whitewash against Bangladesh with a convincing seven-wicket win in the third and final T20 International at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Sunday. Mohammad Haris starred with a sensational unbeaten century, powering the hosts to victory with 16 balls to spare.
Opting to field first after winning the toss, Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to 196 for 6 in their 20 overs. Openers Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain gave the visitors a strong start, adding 56 runs in the first six overs. Parvez was top-scored with 66 runs while Tanzid contributed 42. Pakistan’s bowlers managed to pull things back in the latter half of the innings. Hasan Ali and Abbas Afridi claimed two wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan took one apiece.
In reply, Pakistan lost opener Sahibzada Farhan early but a solid 92-run partnership between Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris stabilized the chase. Saim made a quick-fire 45 off 29 balls before being dismissed. Hasan Nawaz added a useful 26 off 13 deliveries.
However, it was Haris who stole the show with an explosive knock, hammering 107 runs off just 46 balls, including 7 sixes and 8 fours.
Alongside Agha Salman (15*), he guided Pakistan to the target in just 17.2 overs, sealing a dominant win and a clean sweep of the series.
Pakistan had already secured the series by winning the first two T20Is and maintained their momentum to end the series on a high note.
