President Trump says he may cut trade ties after China halted U.S. soybean purchases, calling it economic hostility.
WASHINGTON : (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,15, 2025) U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is considering ending trade relations with China after Beijing halted the purchase of American soybeans.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump accused China of deliberately stopping soybean imports, calling it an “act of economic hostility.”
He said the decision has caused serious difficulties for American farmers, adding that his administration is now reviewing the possibility of ending trade ties with China, including the import of cooking oil and other goods.
“China’s actions have hurt our farmers,” Trump said. “We can easily produce our own cooking oil there’s no need to buy it from China.”
