Iran rejects Trump’s talks offer

Tehran calls U.S. President Trump’s proposal for dialogue “contradictory,” accusing Washington of hostile actions against Iran.

TEHRAN :(UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,14, 2025) Iran has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent offer for dialogue, labeling it as “contradictory” and insincere.

The response came after President Trump, in an address to the Israeli parliament a day earlier, extended what he called an “open hand of friendship and cooperation” to Iran, suggesting that the U.S. was ready for talks.

In a statement, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized Trump’s remarks, saying that Washington’s behavior toward Iran remains “hostile and criminal,” making such offers meaningless.

The ministry also reminded that during the Israel-Iran war in June, the United States had carried out attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. At the time, President Trump had claimed that the U.S. had “completely destroyed” Iran’s nuclear installations.

Western countries, including the U.S., have long accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons — allegations that Tehran has consistently and firmly denied.
