Security forces successfully thwarted a suicide attack in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, killing four militants without any loss to the troops.
WAZIRISTAN: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Oct,17, 2025) Security forces in Mir Ali have foiled a major suicide attack, killing four militants during a swift and decisive operation, official sources confirmed.
According to reports, one militant drove an explosives-laden vehicle into the wall of a security forces’ camp, causing a powerful explosion. Following the blast, three more militants attempted to storm the camp, but were intercepted and eliminated by security personnel before they could enter.
Thanks to the timely and courageous response of the forces, no casualties or damage were reported among the security personnel.
Sources added that in the past two days alone, 88 militants reportedly linked to the Afghan Taliban have been neutralized in ongoing counterterrorism operations.
Officials reaffirmed that, under the National Action Plan, the Pakistan Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations “until the elimination of the last terrorist.”
