NEW DEHLI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan point News-April 9th, 2025) Bold Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut lashed out at the state government after receiving an electricity bill of INR100,000 for her house in Manali, Himachal Pradesh — a property she claims is currently unoccupied.
Kangana, who recently won a Lok Sabha seat from Mandi, expressed her frustration over the hefty bill, stating that such mismanagement reflected the poorly on the governance of the state.
Taking to social media, the actress-turned-politician said, “This month, I received an electricity bill of INR100,000 for my house in Manali where I don’t even reside. It’s shameful to read such things — it reflects the terrible state of affairs,”.
She voiced these concerns during a political gathering in Himachal Pradesh, where she urged her party members to take action to improve the condition of the state.
Kangana Ranaut entered politics in 2024 and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. She emerged victorious and has since been actively supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and voicing opinions on governance and state matters.
