MUMBAI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 23rd, 2026) Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has recalled a prediction made by superstar Salman Khan more than two decades ago, saying the remark had left her shocked and frightened at the time.
Speaking during a recent appearance on a show hosted by filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, Dia Mirza shared an anecdote from the set of the 2002 film Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge.
The actress said the conversation resurfaced when Farah Khan suggested that she should work with Salman Khan again. In response, Dia jokingly remarked that the actor now prefers working with younger actresses.
Farah Khan noted that Salman is also working with actress Chitrangda Singh, prompting Dia to recall an incident from the film’s shooting.
According to Dia, she was 19 years old when Salman told her that one day she would play the role of his mother on screen. She said the comment came while they were waiting for a scene to be filmed alongside actor Rajpal Yadav.
Dia explained that the actress portraying Salman Khan’s mother in the film was relatively young and had recently given birth to a child. When she pointed out that the actress was not much older than them, Salman reportedly responded by saying that the same situation could one day apply to her.
The actress said Salman’s prediction left her startled and fearful at the time, adding that she still remembers the conversation more than two decades later.
