Artist Justin Gignac gathered the items from the streets surrounding Madison Square Garden while singer Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce were celebrating their wedding ceremony inside the venue.
The collection included bottle caps, candy wrappers, police warning tape, drinking straws, disposable cutlery and even a single AirPod. Each item was preserved in a transparent plastic display cube and priced at $25.
The collection quickly drew interest from fans, with all the listed items selling out within 24 hours.
Gignac said the majority of buyers were Taylor Swift fans who wanted a unique souvenir connected to the celebrity wedding. He said he viewed each discarded object as a piece of art and transformed it into a collectible keepsake.
According to the artist, he has sold 50 items so far, generating $1,250 in sales. He added that, given the strong demand, he is considering releasing more items from the collection in the coming days.
