The video, which has been widely circulated online and is reportedly from India, shows a man travelling on a train who is allegedly assaulted by police personnel
LAHORE: (UrduPoint /Pakistan Point News-July 20t, 2026) Samiyah Khan, the wife of Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali, has responded to a viral social media video that falsely claimed to show the national cricketer.
The video, which has been widely circulated online and is reportedly from India, shows a man travelling on a train who is allegedly assaulted by police personnel.
Social media users began claiming that the individual in the footage was Hasan Ali.

Following the spread of the claim, Samiyah Khan took to Instagram to dismiss the rumours and criticise the spread of misinformation.
In an Instagram Story, she expressed disappointment over how easily people believe and share unverified content online.
“The saddest part is that people in both countries are so innocent that they believe any fake news and help spread it,” she wrote.
Responding to the false claims in a light-hearted manner, Samiyah added that it had been three years since they last visited India, joking that people there seemed to miss them and were simply looking for an excuse to mention them.
She also used laughing emojis in her post, indicating that she was treating the viral rumours with humour rather than concern.
The incident has once again highlighted the rapid spread of misinformation on social media, with unverified claims often gaining traction before being fact-checked. Neither Hasan Ali nor official sources have issued any statement linking the cricketer to the viral video, and there is no evidence to support the claim circulating online.
