PIA Demands Government To Restrict Gulf Airlines

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News – 24th March, 2017) : Pakistan International airlines (PIA) has asked the government to restrict the Gulf Airlines flights in the country. Reportedly, PIA CEO while talking to international news agency said that state-owned airline is losing approximately PKR 3.1 billion per month while market share continues to increase for Gulf Airlines. He said, "For us it is very difficult to compete with the emirates... I am not against competition, but unlimited competition is also impossible." He said Pakistan needs put limitation on its open-sky policy, even European countries does not have this policy.
