Load Wedding to be screened in China tomorrow

At least 60 films have been selected from 30 Asian countries to be shown in different Chinese cities.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 16th May, 2019) Pakistani film Load Wedding will be screened at the Asian Film and tv Week festival in Guangzhou, China tomorrow, May 17.

The festival which opened on May 16 and will conclude on May 23

At least 60 films have been selected from 30 Asian countries to be shown in different Chinese cities.

Load Wedding will also be screened in Beijing on May 18 along with other popular films from the region.

Load Wedding’s producer Fizza Ali Meerza is representing Pakistan in the festival.

Load Wedding was directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza. The film stars Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat and Samina Peerzada in lead roles.

Load Wedding revolves around Punjabi man played by Fahad Mustafa (Raja) living in a small town and in love with Mehwish Hayat aka Meeru since childhood. Here comes the challenge for their love story – they can’t marry before Raja’s elder sister Baby is married.

While baby struggles with weight loss and body shaming, Meeru pressures Raja for marriage and finally rejecting him for a delay.

The movie having the right bit of drama, acting and music was released on Eid-ul-Azha, 2018 and was a huge hit.

The Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations is the Asia's first-ever grand gathering themed on inter-civilizational exchanges and mutual learning for a community with a shared future.

Thousands of people from 47 Asian countries and nearly 50 countries outside the region attended the conference in Beijing. The event is being attended by Aamir Khan from India and Majid Majidi from Iran.

The week-long event includes an opening ceremony, panel discussions, an Asian Culture Carnival and Asian Civilization Week involving more than 110 activities to showcase the diversity and charm of Asian civilizations.
