Court seeks details of ‘fake accounts’ involve in defamation campaign against Ali Zafar

Actor and Singer had claimed Meesha Shafi behind the campaign. FIA collects details of accounts, media reports

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 2nd May 2019) District Court Lahore has issued a direction to Facebook and Instagram to release details of fake accounts involved in Lahore's district court has directed Facebook and Instagram to release details of fake accounts involved in defamation campaign of singer and actor Ali Zafar.

The court has accepted his plea and issued the direction after he filed an application that some fake accounts allegedly involved in a defamation campaign.

Ali had claimed that singer Meesha Shafi, who accused him of sexual harassment in April 2018, was behind the campaign against him in social media.

He alleged fake accounts were posting frequent messages based on lies and propaganda.

A local tv claimed that FIA took action on court order and detected some accounts fake. However, their number is less than four and five so far, according to reports.
