MURMANSK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) Russian bulk carrier Kuzma Minin, which had earlier been refloated near the UK port of Falmouth, was arrested over the debt of a ship-owner, coordinator of the International Transport Workers' Federation Sergey Fishov told Sputnik on Thursday.

"According to our data, the vessel was arrested a week ago. Now, as far as I know, the vessel is in England, it was arrested by creditors over the ship-owner's debts," Fishov said.

The press service of the Murmansk Shipping Company, owner of the Kuzma Minin bulk carrier, refused to comment on the situation.

The ship with 18 Russian sailors aboard ran aground near Falmouth in mid-December. The vessel was soon refloated and examined by divers, who found the ship was slightly damaged.
