Condolences pour in over Kader Khan's death

Bollywood actor Kader Khan passed away in Canada after prolonged illness.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 1st January, 2019) Veteran Bollywood actor Kader Khan passed away in Canada after prolonged illness.

Kader Khan’s son Sarfaraz Khan confirmed the news.

The actor had been hospitalised in Canada after he complained of breathlessness.

Kader Khan had been put on a ventilator, according to various reports.

After having undergone a knee surgery which had gone awry, Khan had been unable to walk properly, following which he had begun using a cane to support his movement.

Kader, 81, is survived by his wife Hajra, son Sarfaraz, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.

Fans around the world are heartbroken at the sad demise of the actor. Condolences from all social, political and entertainment circles have been pouring in since the news was confirmed.

Kader Khan made his acting debut in 1973 with Rajesh Khanna’s Daag and went on to act in over 300 films.

He also wrote dialogues for over 250 movies, with his first film as a dialogue writer being Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bachchan’s Jawani Diwani. As a screenwriter, Khan frequently collaborated with Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra.

Khan was synonymous with comic roles, especially in films with Govinda. He worked in a number of David Dhawan directed Govinda films like Dulhe Raja, Coolie No.1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Raja Babu, Saajan Chale Sasural, Aunty No.1, among others.

The legend had worked with all leading actors of 1970s, 80s and 90s, including Rajesh Khanna, Bachchan, Jeetendra, Feroz Khan, Anil Kapoor and Govinda.
