BRUSSELS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th December, 2018) Two individuals whose Names were among the list of contributors to the UK-based hybrid warfare project Integrity Initiative in Germany, released in the latest publication by hacktivist group Anonymous, confirmed to Sputnik on Wednesday that they had been indeed contacted by the project's coordinators but noted that they had declined their offer to cooperate. On Monday, Anonymous released a new batch of documents related to the Integrity Initiative project, described by hacktivists as a "large-scale information secret service" created by London to "counteract Russian propaganda." A part of the new leak was an interim report on the establishment of a German cluster, purportedly written by Hannes Adomeit, a German political expert specializing in Russian foreign policy.
Sputnik contacted Joachim Krause, who was described in the newly leaked documents as "close friend, ex-colleague at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik [German Institute for International and Security Affairs], former Director of Research at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik (DGAP) [German Council on Foreign Relations], at present head of the Institute on Security Policy at the University of Kiel (ISPK)."
"I was contacted by them, but I have not followed up on their request to participate," Krause told Sputnik.
Manfred Sapper, who was referred to as the "chief editor of the only scientific journal on Russia and Eastern Europe" in the leaked documents, told Sputnik that he had also refused to collaborate with the project, without providing further details.
"Unfortunately, I can't answer your questions in detail ... The only think I can confirm is that Mr Adomeit talked to me and outlined on what the initiative is all about. Given the academic character of 'Osteuropa' and the 'German Association for the Research on Eastern Europe' I rejected to cooperate with him," Sapper told Sputnik.
The first batch of documents related to the Integrity Initiative project was released the Anonymous group in November.
