The court found that the convict had planned to assemble a car bomb to carry out a terrorist attack in Germany, which might have killed and injured at least 200 people.
The hearing of the criminal case against the Syrian began in late June 2018.
In November 2017, media reported that German police averted a terrorist attack in the country by detaining Syrian national Yamen A. in the northern city of Schwerin.
