White House to Support FBI, Police in Finding Perpetrators of Bomb Threats - Spokeswoman

The Trump administration will provide all necessary assistance to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), police and the Secret Service as they search for those responsible for a series of bombs sent to high-profile Democrats and others, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in an interview on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th October, 2018) The Trump administration will provide all necessary assistance to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), police and the Secret Service as they search for those responsible for a series of bombs sent to high-profile Democrats and others, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in an interview on Thursday.

"We're going to continue to do all that we can to help support law enforcement, the Secret Service, the FBI to make sure we find out and determine who exactly that was," Sanders told Fox News.

Sanders stressed that violence should have no place in US politics and will not be tolerated by the administration.

Although President Donald Trump has come under frequent criticism for inciting violence and attacking his opponents and the press, the spokeswoman emphasized that it has always been the goal of the White House to prevent any kind of hostility.

She added that it was disgraceful for CNN President Jeff Zucker to blame Trump for the attacks on prominent Democrats after pipe bombs were intercepted at the residences of former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the CNN office in New York, among other targets.

Zucker on Wednesday laid blame for the incidents on Trump and the White House, saying the administration fails to understand the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media.

On Thursday morning, authorities found two more packages thought to contain explosives that were sent to former Vice President Joe Biden and another one delivered to actor Robert De Niro's film company in Manhattan.

Sanders told Fox news the president was briefed on the latest packages sent to Biden and De Niro.
