Vasay is boycotting movie promotions as a tribute to Hamza Ali Abbasi.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 1st August, 2018) The actor and writer of upcoming Pakistani movie Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 (JPNA 2) has announced to boycott the promotions of the film.
But there’s a twist! Vasay is not boycotting because of any issues rather he is following on Hamza Ali Abbasi’s footsteps who didn’t do the promotions of first part of the movie, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
Vasay is known for his humour and twisting words when he wants to. He did the same when he took to Twitter on Wednesday and said that he won’t be a part of these shoots or the ‘Tilay Wali’ song’s video.
Reading on, he further said that he is boycotting this segment of promotions as a tribute to Hamza Ali Abbasi.
Yes you heard it right! Vasay thinks if he will not appear in the movie promotions, the film will do well on the box office.
“I Wont be a part of these shoots or the Tilay wali Songs video.I am Boycotting this segment of the promotions as a tribute to Hamza Abbasi.He sacrificed last time,this time it will be me...hopefully it will have the same results at the BO as JPNA 1. #boycottforluck #JPNA2” he wrote.
So it’s a boycott for luck and we wish Vasay’s sacrifice does not go wasted.
JPNA 2 is a sequel of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani – a 2015 release – that did record breaking business and played a key role in the revival of Pakistani cinema.
JPNA 2 stars Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Vasay Chaudhry, Ahmed Ali Butt, Kubra Khan, Mawra Hocane, Sarwat Gillani and Uzma Khan.
The trailer of the movie has been released while all eyes are on the movie which is scheduled to be released on Eid-ul-Azha.
With some desi songs spicing up the trailer, the movie looks like a fun watch.
