NEW DEHLI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Feb 6th, 2026) Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has surrendered at Tihar Jail after failing to deposit the settlement amount in a cheque bounce case, Indian media reported on Tuesday.
The reports said that the actor was facing legal proceedings in multiple cheque dishonour cases. The Delhi High Court recently withdrew the relief earlier granted to him and ordered that he surrender before the concerned jail superintendent by February 4.
Complying with the court’s directive, Rajpal Yadav presented himself at Tihar Jail within the given deadline.
Media reports said the actor’s counsel had requested the court to allow additional time for payment, seeking a one-week extension to deposit Rs 5 million. However, the court rejected the plea, after which the surrender order was enforced.
The case relates to non-payment of the agreed settlement amount, which led to the revival of legal action against the actor under cheque dishonour laws.
