LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Dec 25th, 2025) Pakistan's renowned actress Saba Qamar Zaman has broken her silence for the first time following the filing of a petition against her.
According to various media reports, a petition has been filed in Lahore's Sessions Court, accusing the actress of wearing a police uniform without permission.
The issue came to light when a video surfaced on social media showing Saba Qamar wearing an SP uniform inside a dressing room.
Subsequently, the actress reshared a post from a magazine that defended her actions.
In the post, the magazine's editor-in-chief sarcastically wrote, "Dear, did you expect her to play a police officer's role in a bridal dress or lawn suit?" He further commented that characters always wear outfits according to their roles, not based on one's foolish creation.
Responding humorously, Saba Qamar wrote, "Oh my God! I have become so famous these days," and included smiling emojis in her message.
The petition against her was filed by lawyer Aftab Bajwa on behalf of citizen Waseem Zawar, who argued that no individual is allowed to wear a police uniform or display an SP badge without official authorization.
Saba Qamar's response to the petition was a lighthearted retort, dismissing the allegations with humor.
