KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Nov 19th, 2025) Internationally acclaimed Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has rejected claims of a silent rivalry with fellow star Saba Qamar, terming the longstanding speculation “baseless” and “fabricated”.
Mahira made the remarks during an appearance on a private television show alongside actor Fawad Khan, where the two were promoting their upcoming film Neelofar. During the programme, a fan questioned her about media reports suggesting a persistent silent feud between the two leading actresses.
Dismissing the rumours, Mahira said she had been asked the same question multiple times and her response had always been consistent. “There is absolutely no truth to it. There has never been anything like that from my side,” she said.
Speaking about Saba Qamar, Mahira described her as “an outstanding actor”, adding that such narratives were part of a wider global pattern. “Whenever people see two strong and successful women, they tend to pit them against each other. A false impression of competition or hostility is deliberately created,” she remarked.
Mahira said such speculation only distracts from the work artists do. She added that although she has not yet worked with Saba Qamar, she would welcome the opportunity. “If we collaborate on a project, it could certainly turn out to be something exceptional,” she said.
