ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-Nov 17th, 2025) Renowned Pakistani folk and Sufi singer Sanam Marvi recently disclosed that she earns up to Rs 2.5 million for a single concert, highlighting the financial rewards of her music career.
Marvi, known for her soulful renditions of Sufi poetry and folk songs, appeared on a private tv program where she discussed her career journey, life struggles, and personal experiences.
She revealed that she entered the music field out of necessity, supporting her siblings from a young age. “I started working early due to family responsibilities. When I was four, my family moved to Hyderabad,” she said.
The singer shared that her first payment was Rs 27,000—a significant sum at the time. She immediately used it to buy essential household items such as a fridge, TV, and bed for her mother, as the family had very little at home.
Sanam Marvi further stated that she now performs at concerts and wedding events, commanding fees that could buy a brand-new Alto car. “For one concert, I receive up to Rs 2.5 million,” she added, reflecting her success and recognition in the music industry.
