KARACHI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 14th, 2025) Actor and model Humaira Asghar Ali died in October 2024, the Karachi police said on Monday.
The body of actor Humaira Asghar Ali was found in a flat in Karachi’s DHA Phase 6.
Contrary to initial reports suggesting she had died just a few months ago, the post-mortem report has confirmed that she passed away 8 to 10 months earlier, placing her death around October 2024.
DIG South Asad Raza, in a private tv interview, shared that the room where Humaira’s body was discovered had an open gallery, and a window in the adjacent bathroom was also left open — potentially allowing any odor from the decomposition to dissipate, which delayed discovery. Additionally, the family living in the neighboring flat had been abroad from October to February, further contributing to the delay in noticing anything unusual.
Investigators believe Humaira Asghar Ali died on or around October 7, 2024. This conclusion is supported by the timeline: a security guard attempted to contact her by phone three days later but received no response. A friend of the actress also called but did not get a reply.
Her body was only discovered on July 8, 2025, when a court bailiff arrived at her flat following legal proceedings initiated by the landlord over unpaid rent.
