NEW DEHLI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 18th, 2025) Former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela have been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over their alleged promotion of illegal online gambling platforms.
According to media reports, the ED launched an investigation into endorsements made by the celebrities for platforms that used deceptive branding and redirected users to unauthorized betting websites — a direct violation of Indian cyber and financial regulations.
Harbhajan Singh and Raina are reportedly facing increased scrutiny. While representatives for Yuvraj Singh and Raina declined to comment, sources confirm that several Bollywood figures including Sonu Sood, are also linked to these promotions.
The investigators revealed that the company behind the campaign spent over INR500 million on marketing, primarily targeting actors and cricketers to leverage their large social media followings.
The inquiry is ongoing as authorities look deeper into the extent of the promotional network supporting illegal gambling operations.
