LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 3rd, 2025) Renowned Pakistani digital content creator and social media influencer Areeka Haq on Tuesday opened up about her personal battle with depression, acknowledging the crucial support she received from her family and fellow celebrities, particularly acclaimed actress Saba Qamar.
With over 12 million followers on TikTok, Areeka is one of Pakistan’s leading online personalities. She has also appeared in several music videos including Asim Azhar’s viral hit “Tum Tum.”
In a recent interview, Areeka candidly spoke about her mental health struggles and the role her support system played in helping her recover.
“During my depression, my family was incredibly supportive, but some actors also helped me a great deal,” she revealed.
She went on to name Saba Qamar, saying, “Saba Qamar got my number from Asim Azhar and called me. She gave me tips on how to stay calm and manage the stress. Her advice made a big difference,”.
Areeka added that acting on Saba Qamar’s guidance helped her significantly in overcoming her emotional struggles.
