The latest inquiry report says that no action has been taken against Shaheen despite his misbehaviour.
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 11th, 2024) The Pakistan Cricket board (PCB) inquiry report found that pacer Shahen Shah Afridi misbehaved with the coaches.
However, the report said that the coaches did not take any action against Shaheen.
The sources revealed that coaches Gary Kirsten and Azhar Mahmood formally complained about Afridi’s conduct.
They pointed out instances of his inappropriate behavior during the tours of Ireland, England, and the World Cup.
“Despite these issues, selection committee members Wahab Riaz and Mansoor Rana allegedly took no action against Afridi,” said the report.
The sources said that the internal reasons behind the dismissal of selection committee members Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq, and team manager Mansoor Rana surfaced.
According to detailed report, the national cricket team’s coaches submitted a comprehensive review of the team’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 to PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
The report disclosed that Afridi frequently misbehaved and ignored directives from the coaches and team management.
This behavior disrupted team harmony, as players engaged in lobbying against each other and schemed internally, further fracturing team unity.
