Magnitude 7.5 Earthquake Hits Northern Peru - USGS

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th May, 2019) A 7.5 magnitude earthquake has hit northern Peru on Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The tremors occurred at 07:41 GMT.

The epicenter was located 83 kilometers (52 miles) south-east of Lagunas District in the Alto Amazonas Province. The focus of the earthquake was at a depth of 105 kilometers.

There have been no immediate reports about damage or casualties caused by the quake.
