The Dornier Do 228 maritime surveillance aircraft and ships have been deployed by India along the border with Sri Lanka in order to prevent attempts by Sri Lankan extremists, responsible for the wave of attacks, to escape the country, the ANI news agency reported.

On Easter Sunday, Sri Lanka was shaken by a series of coordinated attacks, which killed at least 290 people.
