Having 94% employment rate of its graduates within one year of their graduation, as per the QS World Rankings, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) strives to enhance placement opportunities for its students

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News - 05th April, 2019) Having 94% employment rate of its graduates within one year of their graduation, as per the QS World Rankings, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) strives to enhance placement opportunities for its students. With this objective in site, NUST has set a new precedent of holding a series of Job Fairs in the three major cities of Pakistan: Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi during the months of March and April.

These job fairs are intended to enable students to come closer to industry and simultaneously afford employers access to qualified and well-groomed graduates. NUST set the stage for Islamabad Job Fair to offer employers a chance to recruit soon-to-be graduates from NUST – the country’s leading higher education institution with global standing. Lt Gen Naweed Zaman, HI (M), (Retd), Rector NUST, graced the ceremony as chief guest, and visited various stalls of participating industry reps during the Meet & Greet Session.

A large number of multi-sectoral industry partners from Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Rawat, Haripur/Hattar, Jhelum and Gujrat attended the event. These included Teradata, S&P Global, Telenor, Zong, Ufone, Jazz, Askari Bank, Kohinoor Textile Mills, United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Shifa International Hospitals, National Logistics Cell (NLC) to name a few. They conducted on-spot interviews of about one thousand final year students from all NUST Schools and Colleges. The event was highly appreciated by the industry guests, as they were greatly impressed by the overall grooming of students. The 3rd and last event of the Job Fairs 2019 is scheduled to be held at Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC-NUST), Karachi, on April 11, 2019.
