MEXICO CITY (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th March, 2019) The DC-3 aircraft crashed in Colombia, killing all 12 people aboard, the Blu Radio reported on Saturday.
The tragedy occurred in the department of Meta. The Colombian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that the people aboard were dead, but did not officially specify their number.
The crashed plane belonged to Laser airline and made a flight between the cities of San Jose del Guaviare and Villavicencio.
The production of civil version of Douglas DC-3 fixed-wing propeller-driven aircraft ended in 1942, with a little over 600 planes produced. However, several hundred of DC-3s are still flying.
