MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st December, 2018) A probe into suspected planning of a terror attack at an airport in the southwestern city of Stuttgart turned up no evidence, local police said Friday.
Police in Baden-Wurttemberg said they had raided homes of two men in this state and a state to the north on suspicion they were exploring opportunities for an attack at an airport in Germany or France.
"The search turned up no clues that would point to preparations for an Islamist terrorist attack. The men were probed for apparent scoping-out of airports and suspicious online communications," the statement read.
Security was ramped up at the airports in Stuttgart, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, and Friedrichshafen after two men without luggage were spotted last week at the Stuttgart airport observing security checks. Another pair was seen doing the same the following day at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.
