The fourth round of the Russian-Vietnamese strategic dialogue on defense at the level of deputy heads of defense ministries was held on Monday in Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd December, 2018) The fourth round of the Russian-Vietnamese strategic dialogue on defense at the level of deputy heads of defense ministries was held on Monday in Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry said.The round was attended by Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Vietnamese Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh.
"There was an exchange of views on security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. The sides discussed the current state of the Russian-Vietnamese military relations and the prospects for their development, taking into account the cross-year of Russia in Vietnam and Vietnam in Russia scheduled for 2019," a representative of the ministry told reporters.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and demonstrated a mutual commitment toward accelerating and developing bilateral relations in the area of defense, according to the representative.
