Bushra Bibi had offered Mian Hayat Maneka to contest election from PTI’s ticket as well
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 8th August, 2018) After the daughter of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Maneka, Mehrunnisa Hayat joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) earlier this week, her son-in-law is also expected to join the party.
Mehrunnisa’s husband and former candidate for provincial assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader, Mian Hayat Maneka had contested the election in coalition with the PTI candidate and is now expected to formally join the party.
Bushra Bibi had offered Mian Hayat Maneka to contest election from PTI’s ticket and had asked him to return PMLN’s ticket. He had still contested through PMLN but due to issues with PMLN’s Ahmad Raza Maneka, he formed a coalition with PTI’s Muhammad Shah Khagga. None of them could however win the election.
Sources said that following the joining of former provincial minister Mian Atta Maneka’s daughter-in-law Mehrunnisa Hayat in the PTI, this family has also got a chance in the government.
Bushra Maneka’s daughter Mehrunnisa Hayat had joined the PTI on August 6. According to media reports, Mehrunnisa called on her mother Bushra Bibi in Bani Gala along with her friend and business personality Farah Khan. Following the meeting, Farah Khan and Mehrunnisa Hayat formally announced joining PTI.
