Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Israel carries out relentless attacks on Palestinians in Gaza and continues to destabilize region. Netanyahu’s government is the biggest obstacle to peace in the Middle East
ISTANBUL: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 21st, 2025) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, comparing him to Hitler and accusing him of pushing the entire middle East toward destruction.
Speaking at a special session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, Erdogan stressed that Muslim unity is the need of the hour, urging the Muslim world to set aside internal differences and unite.
Addressing the OIC gathering in Istanbul, Erdogan said, "Israel is carrying out relentless attacks on Palestinians in Gaza and continues to destabilize the region. Netanyahu’s government is the biggest obstacle to peace in the Middle East."
He criticized Israel's recent military actions, stating, "After acts of aggression in Yemen, Libya, and Syria, Israel has now attacked Iran. We strongly condemn Israel’s aggression against Iran, and the Turkish people stand in solidarity with our Iranian brothers and sisters."
Erdogan warned that Israeli attacks are pushing the region toward widespread devastation. "Israel wants to dominate the entire region, and Netanyahu's hands are stained with the blood of Muslims," he said. “This is the time for Muslims to rise above their disputes and act in unison to prevent further destruction.”
Calling for international intervention, Erdogan appealed to the global community to play its role in halting Israeli aggression. He emphasized that the solution lies in diplomacy and negotiations, warning, “Our region cannot bear another war or further instability.”
The Turkish president also reiterated his support for a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.

OIC secretary general and Iran’s response
In his address, OIC Secretary General denounced Israel’s actions in Gaza and Iran as unacceptable and reiterated that every nation has the right to self-defense under UN resolutions. He called for a peaceful resolution to the escalating Iran-Israel conflict.
Ahead of the OIC meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense, saying that, “Israel attacked Iran just two days before scheduled negotiations on June 15, clearly showing it opposes diplomacy,”.
