Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 29th May, 2019) Renowned Pakistani singer and composer Niaz Ahmed Khan passed away in Lahore on Tuesday.
Niaz Ahmed had been sick for a long time, making him unable to remain in touch with the music industry.
His condition further deteriorated on Monday following which he was put on a ventilator. He breathed his last on Tuesday noon.
Niaz Ahmed is ranked among the finest music directors of Pakistan.
He has composed songs for a number of acclaimed singers like Madam Noor Jehan, Mehdi Hassan and Ghulam Ali.
He belongs to the ‘Kirana Gharana’ and was groomed by his uncle, Ustad Maulana Abdus Shakoor Khan.
He was awarded the President of Pakistan’s Civil Award Pride of Performance in 2014.
