Government increases prices of petroleum products

Petrol will now cost Rs108 per liter after an increase of Rs9 while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased to Rs122, after an increase of Rs4.89 per liter. The new price will be implemented from May 3.

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 3rd May 2019) The government has approved the summary of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority for an increase in petrol prices.

Petrol will now cost Rs108 per liter after an increase of Rs9 while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased to Rs122, after an increase of Rs4.89 per liter. The new price will be implemented from May 3.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had forwarded the summary a couple of days ago. OGRA had recommended an increase of Rs11.91 in petrol prices, Rs11.17 in high-speed diesel, Rs6.49 in light diesel, and Rs6.65 in kerosene oil.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, however, rejected the recommendation of the Ogra. The government on Friday approved increase with a slight change Ogra recommendation.
