The decision was taken in the ECC meeting held in Islamabad on Tuesday
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 24th November, 2018) The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has decided that there will be no gas load-shedding in winters.
The decision was taken in the ECC meeting held in Islamabad on Tuesday. Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired the meeting.
The ECC also allowed Ministry of Energy to raise Islamic financing for power sector through Power Holding Private Limited.
Earlier, there were reports that the government has planned to provide gas for only eight hours a day in winters.
The Sui Gas Department had sent a load management plan to the government.
Meanwhile, the Sui Gas Department has also formed 35 teams to take action against people installing gas compressors at homes and shops as the use of gas compressors reduces gas pressure.
