MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) The number of people killed in California's massive wildfires has increased to 84, local media reported on Wednesday, citing the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
The death toll has previously stood at 80.
The vast majority of deaths were due to the Camp Fire in Northern California's Butte County, according to the ABC news broadcaster.
The number of people missing in the county stood at 870 on Tuesday evening, a drop from 1,202 on Sunday, the broadcaster said.
The Camp Fire, which erupted on November 8, is considered to be the deadliest wildland fire in California's history.
