The Election Commission, while directing Aamir Liaquat to submit an affidavit, closed the case today.
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 6th August, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA-elect and tv host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain has admitted to having a second wife.
A hearing over the fake affidavit submitted by PTI MNA-elect and TV host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain was held on Monday. A four-member commission headed by Election Commission’s member Abdul Ghaffar Soomro held the haring.
Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain appeared before the bench and admitted that he has a second wife. He said that the official marriage ceremony will be held in September and the whole world will witness it.

Prior to elections, Dr Aamir Liaquat had submitted nomination papers for general elections 2018 along with an affidavit which stated that he has only one wife. However, he has another wife too that he did not disclose in his nomination papers.
Dr Aamir Liaquat had mentioned his qualification till Masters in the nomination papers. According to the nomination papers, he got his Masters degree in 2013. Earlier, the TV host was alleged of having a fake degree which he denied.
Dr Aamir Liaquat recently joined PTI and won election from NA-245, Karachi against Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) candidate Farooq Sattar.
According to results announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Aamir Liaquat won with 56,615 votes while Farooq Sattar lost with 35,247 votes.
