ECP allots symbol of pencil
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 30th June, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader and daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz will contest elections from NA-125 as an independent candidate.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has allotted her a symbol of pencil.
According to media reports, Maryam Nawaz has again come up to contest from PMLN’s stronghold of NA-120, honouring the wishes of party workers and people of the constituency.
Meanwhile, party sources said that Maryam Nawaz will contest from the party from NA-127. She was allotted party ticket from NA-127. Since her nomination papers cannot be withdrawn, the ECP allotted her a symbol from NA-125 as well.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fielded Dr Yasmeen Rashid from NA-125 (previously NA-120).
