Various delegations visited University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Ravi Campus Pattoki

The Associate Professor in Biometry from University of Sydney Australia Dr Peter Thomson and Associate Professor Sailike Douman from Grassland Research Institute Xinjiang Academy of Animal Sciences Jingji Jishu Kaifaqu, Urumqi, China while Deputy Commissioner Kasur Ms Saira Omar and Assistant Commissioner Kasur Ms Anum Zaid visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore’s Ravi Campus Pattoki called on Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.

LAHORE(Pakistan Point News - 06th Feb, 2018 ) : The Associate Professor in Biometry from University of Sydney Australia Dr Peter Thomson and Associate Professor Sailike Douman from Grassland Research Institute Xinjiang academy of Animal Sciences Jingji Jishu Kaifaqu, Urumqi, China while Deputy Commissioner Kasur Ms Saira Omar and Assistant Commissioner Kasur Ms Anum Zaid visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore’s Ravi Campus Pattoki called on Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.

The delegations visited along with UVAS Vice-Chancellor various departments of Ravi Campus Pattoki including Central Laboratory Complex (CLC), Pet Breeding & Training Center, Dairy Animal Training & Research Center, Small Ruminant Research Center, Milking Parlor, Duck Farm, Zoological Museum and clinics. They also planted saplings associated with their Names in A Block Ravi Campus Pattoki. UVAS Vice-Chancellor Dr Pasha briefed the delegations on the UVAS academic, research, extension & dairy advisory services, clinical & disease diagnostic facilities, development projects various training programmes, national and international linkages etc.

He said UVAS is actively working on research and all laboratories are equipped with latest technology and highly trained human resource to provide the best training to university students and the latest clinical facilities to the poor farming community. The delegation appreciated the UVAS state-of-the-art disease diagnostic facilities, quality of education & research, dairy management trainings and providing clinical services for the benefit of poor farming community.

Meanwhile, the delegations along with Dr Talat Naseer pasha attended the concluding ceremony of Inter-District Special Education Sports Gala Kasur which was held at Government Special Education (GSE) Centre Pattoki. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kasur Ms Saira Omar chaired the concluding ceremony of sports gala while as a guest Dr Talat Naseer pasha distributed shields among the students of various contests winners.
